LDS stopped supporting CD products some time ago because the information is now all online.
Although there are still packages, e.g. census and others, available to buy from 3rd parties on CD or DVD. In some cases, it is more useful to have the data available offline and for that, you need the resource file viewer.
Version 2 is the most common I have seen, but it has rudimentary export options compared with later versions. Version 3.0 and up was a huge leap forward.
The download link does not point to a download site but just to a routine LDS webpage. As far as I know the LDS does not upload these viewers but only sells them on disks as part of various packages. Mike.
